5 mintues with Kate Vincent

Kate Vincent joined the PCG team in September this year and works as a senior sales consultant in the team. Kate brings a great wealth of sales experience to her role and has worked with libraries and publishers previously. We took a few moments to find out more about her.

Tell us a little about yourself and your role at PCG

While I am not an official Maryland native, I have lived in Maryland, a few miles from Washington D.C. , ever since I moved to the state, more than 20 years ago. Currently I am the North American representative for the OECD and also for RedLink (an analytics company working with libraries and publishers).

What day to day tasks do you undertake?

There is a lot of interest in the RedLink product:  Library Dashboard and at the moment I am reaching out to all prospects to schedule a demonstration or have more conversation about the product. For OECD, I have a list of libraries who have expressed interest and am also reaching out to each one to understand what their needs are.

What is your previous experience and what do you intent to bring to the role?

For more than 10 years I was the mid-Atlantic representative for Gale Publishing. Selling all of their products: electronic databases; archives; print reference and electronic reference content.  Before that I was in the same position at ProQuest for a few years.  Again, selling electronic databases and some microform, back in the day.

What’s your publishing passion?

In between playing tennis whenever I can, my love for reading and libraries are my publishing passions.
